Standards for Days of Use

  • Plays and Korean Traditional Operas: Within 5 days
  • Operas, and Singing and Dancing: Within 5 days
  • Dance and Ballet: Within 5 days
  • Concerts: Within 3 days
  • Exhibitions: Within 10 days

Use Permit

Permit must be obtained from the director. For individual use, permit is obtained by paying the rental fee and obtaining a voucher.

Rejection of / Restrictions on Use

  • When there are acknowledged concerns that damages may be caused to public order or morality.
  • When there are acknowledged inconveniences to facility or equipment management.
  • When it is acknowledged that granting a use permit will be unsuitable for public interests.
  • When it is acknowledged as a commercial activity aimed towards making a profit (excluding the indoor gymnasium). However, this does not include events for the exhibition and sales of agricultural and fishery products or the exchange and sales of secondhand goods for the sake of creating a healthy consumption climate.

Payment and Return of Rental Fees

Payment of Rental Fees

  • Rental fees are to be paid when submitting the application form. Vouchers must be purchased in advance when using the facilities.
  • When seeking to use more time and equipment than permitted, an excess rental fee must be paid in advance before the event, and rental fees collected according to the actual use are to be calculated and paid within 5 days after the conclusion of use. However, those who will continue to use them throughout the whole year should pay within 10 days of the next month.

Return of Rental Fees

  • The paid rental fees will not be returned, but may be partially or wholly returned in the following cases
  • Full refunds will be issued in the case that an event is impossible to hold due to natural disasters or rain.
  • Full refunds will be issued in the case that use is canceled or stopped due to special circumstances on the side of Cheongju.
  • Full refunds will be issued for those with use permits who cancel more than 1 month before use. 10% will be deducted when canceling between 15 days to 1 month before use, and 50% will be deducted when cancelling within 15 days before use.
  • Full refunds will be issued for matches and events for which fees for relay broadcasting were paid but failed to go on air at all.
  • Failure to use the venue does not qualify for a return of the rental fees.
