The 1,527 platanus trees planted in 1948 along the road, which spans 6km from Cheongju Interchange in Gyeongbu Expressway to Jukcheongyo Bridge, produce a magnificent image of a tunnel, making the place one of the most beautiful and elegant entry roads in the nation. The road is famous and was immortalized in the film "Full Autumn" and the TV drama "Sandglass". The rows of trees provide a different scene in every season, impressing visitors of the city.
