Title Okhwa Recreational Forest increases capacity in line with the policies of phased return to normal life
Writer Forest Recreation Team of the Forest Management Division
Subject Cheongju City announced that some parts of Okhwa Recreational Forest will be available at an increased capacity, following the policies of phased return to normal life.

Due to the continuously changing social distancing guidelines and being designated as a COVID-19 makeshift facility amid the prolonged COVID-19, only 13 forest house guest rooms for 10 persons and 13 camp sites are currently in operation.

However, because it has been lifted as a COVID-19 makeshift facility together with the phased return to normal life, 10 forest recreation centers for 4 to 5 persons, 4 forest house guest rooms for 10 persons and 15 camp sites (which are temporarily closed) will resume operation from November 19.

They will become available for reservations through the Forest Trip (https://www.foresttrip.go.kr/main.do) website from November 12 and start operating from November 19.

However, each room can accept up to 13 persons only, and they must thoroughly follow COVID-19 safety guidelines, such as wearing masks.

In addition, the city will follow disinfection guidelines such as regular ventilation and disinfection after check-out.

A spokesperson of Cheongju City said, “I hope Okhwa Recreational Forest serves as a place where residents can relax and relief any emotional exhaustion due to the prolonged COVID-19.”
