Cheongju City Holds 2018 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
- Shining a Light of Hope to Brighten the New Year of 2019 and Harmony Between the Citizens at the Year End The tree lighting ceremony, aimed at seeing the year of 2018 off and lighting the way for the hopeful new year of 2019, was held on November 30 (Fri.) at 5 pm at the Sajikdong Fountain of Cheongjudaegyo Bridge. The large Christmas tree was funded by Cheongju City (Mayor Han Beum-deuk) and produced as a 13m tall and 5m wide tree under the supervision of the Christian Council of Cheongju(Chairperson Kim Hak-seop). The tree will be presented at the Sajikdong Fountain, and another one will be placed inOsongMansu Park for the citizens to see until the last day of January next year.
