Cheongju City started to materalize its administrative direction for the 8th popularly elected administration starting from the meeting to report the key tasks for 2023.
Cheongju City held a meeting to report the key tasks for 2023 starting with the four offices including the Public Information Office, Mutual Cooperation Office, Youth Policy Office, and the Audit Office on the 5th. This meeting will be hosted by Lee Beom-seok, Mayor of Cheongju, carried out across two weeks staring on the 5th with the participation of offices, bureaus, divisions, and agencies as well as investors. The meeting will cover new projects and major projects which will become the foundations for the 8th administration. As the plan for the following year shows an outline of Cheongju's new administration, every city officials are making efforts to come up with a right plan. With the goal of “A better Cheongju, Happier Citizens” and five administrative policies, it focused on materializing pledges and allowing citizens to feel a changed Cheongju by integrating with national tasks and benchmarking other regions. In particular, each department not only collected citizens' opinion, but also went through a practical and in-depth consulting phase with various committees and experts before the establishment of plans to contain the core value of “Communication” of the 8th administration. An official from the city government stated, “The establishment of the key tasks for 2023 is the most important procedure in implementing the identity of the 8th administration and materializing core projects. As all departments recognize the importance of the plans for next year, we are hoping to provide a blueprint for a better Cheongju where citizens are happier.” |
