The City is supporting up to KRW 3 million within 80% of the construction cost, under the condition that the parking lot will be maintained for 5 years after the construction is completed. The supporting subjects are the home owners, and any residents who do not own a parking lot in their buildings may apply. Those who wish to construct an eco-friendly parking lot by tearing down the front gates and walls of houses can apply by visiting or making calls (☎201-2844) to the Transportation Policy Division of Cheongju-si Government from the 12th. The City will visit and check the sites to select the homes under a first-come-first-served basis, and will implement the project under an annual basis within the budget limit. A city official said, “Constructing a public parking lot within the high-density residential area costs a lot of money and it is difficult to select the site to build a parking lot. Thus, it is difficult to construct a parking lot, but constructing a green parking area for my house can secure lots of parking spaces at a low cost, so it is excellent to resolve parking problems.
