Cheongju city opened 'LG-ro to Daishin-ro section,' 1.19km section on 8th (Thursday).
It made to save by 30 minutes to drive to hometown in Chuseok holidays. - Cheongju city held an opening ceremony of "LG-ro to Daishin-ro section" that goes through Cheongju Technopolis and links from Cheongju Industrial Complex to Ohchang Science-Industry Complex at San 61-1 Waebook-dong Heungdeok-gu on 8th (Thursday) at 2PM. About 200 people attended this opening ceremony including Mayor of Cheongju (Seung-hoon Lee), Chairman of the city council (Young-ho Hwang), Governor of Chungcheongbuk-do (Si-jong Lee), the president of LG Chemical (Woong-beom Lee), Chief of Heungdeok Police (Yong-hwan Lim), and many citizens. The opening ceremony consisted of greeting remarks, congratulatory message, unveiling ceremony, tape cutting, and driving. The opened section at this time is 1.19km long remaining the section of Cheongju Technopolis's ramp (90m) and its intra-zonal road (1.1km). If you take LG-ro, you can save about 30 minutes to drive directly from Cheongju Industrial Complex to Ohchang Industrial Complex compared to the past detoured driving. Though Cheongju Technopolis ramp which was excluded at this time is expected to be completed on August, 2017, Cheongju city had requested earlier completion to Cheongju Technopolis Inc. that is the project implementer, and they could shorten the period by one year and opened the section successfully.
