- Simplifying documentations of address change for multicultural families in Cheongju from September 1st Cheongju city started one-stop services of moving-in/changing places of residence for multicultural families from September 1st. The city started the services that may deal with moving-in notification, address changing notification at once with one time visit to Eup, Myeon, or Dong office. In case that multicultural family with Korean and foreign members change their residential address, a Korean person may report moving-in notification at Eup, Myeon, or Dong community service center, and his/her foreign spouse should report residential place changing notification, which is inconvenient to visit multiple offices, so far. However, one stop service for moving-in/changing place declaration enables incoming multi-cultural families to Cheongju city to report residential place changing notification for foreign family members at once when they move. Eup, Myeon, and Dong office send a declaration to City Hall, and they process that with computer system, one time visit at once. So, multi-cultural family can declare moving-in and residential place changing at once as long as they visit Eup, Myeon, or Dong office with foreign spouse. Taeho Kim, Administrative Support Manager said, "Through this simplified policy, it is expected civil administration services for multicultural families will be more convenient."
