Completing the Knowledge Industrial Center, 'Cheongju Techno S Tower'
- starting in earnest the activation of Cheongju Industrial Complex - The Knowledge Industrial Center, 'Cheongju Techno S Tower' which is the plant of an apartment form, promoted by pure private investment was completed. City Development Co., Ltd. held the ceremony for completion for the Knowledge Industrial Center, 'Cheongju Techno S Tower', with attendance of 200 people such as a mayer of Cheongju, Lee Seung-hoon, Kin Gi-dong, a vice president of Cheongju Parliament, Park Je-guk, an administrative governor of North Chungcheong Province and Lee Eon-ku, a parliamentary speaker of North Chungcheong Province. 'Cheongju Techno S Tower' is equipped with basic manufacturing facilities and office functions, as well as complex convenience facilities, and composed of four buildings with a total building floor area of 42,819㎡ and the hight of 7 floors and 11 floors. This completion is the primary building with the scale of 2 building of 1st basement level ~ 8th floors, and it can accommodate about 100 small businesses. The knowledge industrial center is the multi floor complex building, so called the plant in apartment form for alleviating the shortage of industrial location of large cities and supporting the locating of small businesses and targets for moving in are plants in form of apartment which is suitable for city environment, knowledge industry, info-communications industry and venture companies. In addition, it is the complex facility that types of businesses supporting the production of moving-in enterprise such as finance, insurance, trade and neighborhood living facility move in together. With this, it can achieve synergy effects since similar types of business gather together, and it can be the means of urban regeneration for improving urban aesthetics. Cheongju city judged that Cheongju industrial complex was worn out because it has been 47 years since it was constructed, and has low competitiveness due to the expansion of downtown and change of the industrial structure. So it is promoting the 'business for reinforcing competitiveness of Cheongju Industrial Complex' which rearrange Cheongju Industrial Complex into the Future Industrial Complex, for better revival of local economic and creating jobs. Lee Seung-hoon, the mayer of Cheongju said "The role of private investment is the most important of all for propelling the project for strengthening competitiveness of Cheongju Industrial Complex", and said "This investment of the urban development(Co., Ltd.) which is the construction company of our area is expected to have a very positive effect on business of strengthening competitiveness of Cheongju Industrial Complex". In addition, he said, "I deeply thank the representatives and employees of 80 small businesses who decided to move in the Cheongju Techno S Tower for deciding the investment for Cheongju and creating jobs" Kim Hyeon-bae, the representative of the City Development(Co., Ltd.) said "I thank Cheongju city and North Chungcheong Province very much which supported unstintedly until the completion of the Knowledge Industrial Center" and said "We will strive to contribute to the activation of local economy," he said. Mean while, Cheongju city is supporting 3% of interest preserving amount for five years by recommending the loan of distributing fund(within 70% of distributing fund) to distributed company of 'Cheongju Techno S Tower', and is exempted from 50% of acquisition tax, and 37.5% of 37.5% for five years according to related law.
