Cheongju City announced that it will operate 'a Guide Program for Ecological Experience in the Forest' from April to November to let the value and function of forests known. Considering the importance of ecological education, the city prepared various programs for each month that can be experienced in the forest. The guide program in the forest will be offered twice a day from Monday to Friday every week by four guides in the old path in Sangdangsansung and Munam Ecological Park. This year, there will be commentaries about natural environment, various experiences using natural objects, and communal cooperative play, which will increase creativity of children and citizens and sensitivity to environment. Application to join the guide program can be made by schools, daycare centers, and organizations, and the details can be asked at Division for Park and Green Space of Cheongju City(☎043-201-2822). The Guide Program for Ecological Experience in the Forest that have been operated since 2015 had 2,000 participants from 55 schools.
