- Installation expansion of 32 bus information terminals until the end of next October -

Chungju-si will install 32 bus information terminals in the stations with many users, focusing outdoor areas until late October.

The city will install 26 bus information terminals in bus stations of ex Chungwon area where the bus transport service were excluded and in 6 bus station of centre, investing 400 million won.

The installation places in downtown are Yongamdong (1) Naedukdong (1) Sannamdong (1) Mipyungdong (2) and Gagyungdong (1).

For municipalities, installtions in Namsyungmyeon (3), Miwonmyun (2), Gadukmyun (3), Namilmyun (6) Moonimyun (4), Namimyun (5) Hyundomyun (1) Oksanmyun (1) and Ochangmyun (1), 26 in all.

The bus information terminals offer additional services such as the remaining amount of the transport card, the latest news, cultural information, tourist information or information about the weather, apart from information on the arrival of the bus.

Chungju-si expected to install 200 bus information terminals before 2017 as public engagement, in the excluded areas of transport.

The city has installed 15 terminals in municipalities before the unification and installation by expansion of 65 terminals after the unification.

An official of the city revealed "This new facility will help boosting the use of public transport by improving the accessibility of public transportation of farming village inhabitants."

Chungju-si has installed 423 bus information terminals in the centre and 80 in municipalities since 2006.
