Chungju-si will provide eco-friendly food service in 255 schools, including elementary school, middle school, high school and special school, from 1 September. The city has selected three suppliers of agricultural products and 3 suppliers of livestock products by the examination of food safety, sanitation, prevention of pollution, agricultural products recipe program of region or the stability of the offer price, by the Support committee for deliberation of the food service. The committee, with President YOON are Jaekil (Deputy Mayor), selected by examining the supply capacity of agricultural and livestock of security vendors and stable recipe of the farm by the aggrandizement of supply of agricultural and livestock products. Chungju-si has completed the audit of the facility and the state of the supply of six suppliers so that there is no problem in the food service of 11,800 students in 255 schools, the supply of agricultural products and livestock in districts from September, not only in township. The city plans to move the supply of healthy foods and continuously, for the conservation of the cost of production of eco-friendly agricultural products and livestock, leaving the unstable price of market, by applying the average annual price per unit. And the city has prepared a manual for the systematic management of treatment facilities, and avoiding scrambling between providers and schools, by stabilizing the rationalization distribution and supply, dividing 255 schools by 3 groups. An official of the city revealed "We hope to help boosting the consumption of agricultural and livestock products in the region, and improving the health of students through systematic supplier management and safety assurance of the food service".
