Festival InfoEvery fall sees Cheongwon Life Rice Daechong Lake Marathon Race held with marathoners run along the beautiful Daecheong Lake. The race begins at Sports Park in Munui-myeon. The race consists of a full, half, shortened (10km) and fun run course (5km). Participants take home a bag of rice (5kg), a T-shirt, and many other stuffs each. The race began in the year of 2003 to publicize Cheongwon rice. Over the years, more and more participants run in this event, making it the largest-scale marathon race in central region.
