Experience Center for Software Education to Brighten the Future of Cheongju
Cheongju City has held the opening ceremony for the “Software Center for the Future” with the CHUNGCHEONGBUKDO KNOWLEDGE INDUSTRY PROMOTION AGENCY at the multipurpose educational facility inside Daenong Park in Bokdae-dong. The center will play the role of a base center for software coding and experience education for elementary, middle and high school students in Chungcheongbuk-do in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This project aims to contribute to job creation by turning out and employing 100 software instructors every year with KRW 3.5 billion government expenditure and KRW 3.5 billion provincial expenditure, and calls for providing software education for schools, local children’s centers and multicultural family centers which lack software education. Education will be carried out in the multipurpose educational facility inside Daenong Park, Bokdae-dong, Heungdeok-gu, with a gross area of 1,204.36 m2, and the spaces are reserved for education and experience including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robots and drones. The facility will be in operation from 10:00 to 18:00 every week, Tuesday through Sunday (closed every Monday), starting October 1. “We hope that the opening of this integral center for software education in Cheongju City will provide more opportunities for elementary, middle and high school students to receive creative education,” a city official said. ▶Inquiries: Fourth Industrial Revolution Team, Investment Promotion Division (☎ +82-43-201-1472) |
