Fun City Cheongju presents snow sledding field this winter
– Run through December 23, 2023 to February 18, 2024 at Cheongju Agricultural Technology Center – Featuring various activities along with large and small sledding fields where all family members can enjoy “Fun City” Cheongju is about to open another fun and exciting attraction. Cheongju announced that the city arranged the snow sledding field at the Agricultural Technology Center area (480-2 Danjae-ro, Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si) and the sledding field would be a fun place for all family members, opening on December 23. The place is about 6,000 m2 wide and includes the large sledding field where visitors can enjoy fast speed on snow tubes, the mini ice sledding field that will bring adults back to their childhood memories, the small sledding field for children, featuring other varies entertaining activities, such as merry-go-round on ice, riding swing cars, and ice fishing. The snow sledding field is open from December 23, 2023 to February 18, 2024, and closes on Tuesdays. The business hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM, which is divided into three sessions for maintenance and visitor safety: 10 AM to 12 PM, 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and 3 PM to 5 PM. The admission for each session is limited to 250 visitors. The business hours and running period are subject to weather conditions. Borrowing a snow sled costs KRW 2,000. Fees for other activities varies: KRW 5,000 for ice fishing, KRW 3,000 for riding swing cars, and KRW 3,000 for merry-go-round on ice. Moreover, the safety guard will be positioned at each sledding field for the visitor safety, and there will be regular announcements on safety instructions. A city official recommended wearing warm and convenient clothes to fully enjoy outdoor activities at the sledding field, asking visitors, “Please cooperate with the announcements and safeguards to prevent accidents, such as crash accidents on the slope.” The official added, “Cheonju would establish a robust safety plan so that anyone regardless of age could enjoy safely. We are looking forward to open the first public sledding field in Cheongju, another fun, exciting spot to the public.” |
