Cheongju Recycling Center (28 Naesu-ro, Naesu-eup, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do (B1, Cheongju Upcycle Citizen Center)) operates the Furniture Repair Service Day from 1pm to 5pm, on the third Wednesday of every month.

Citizens of Cheongju can bring broken small furniture with a door fallen off or a leg missing to the recycling center to have it repaired for free.

In addition, any citizens of Cheongju can use "Open Workshop" where you can use repair tools such as power drills and electric staple guns. The business hours of Open Workshop are the same as those of the Furniture Repair Service Day.

"We decided to provide this service to extend the lifespan of furniture and minimize resource waste by repairing broken furniture," said a city official of Cheongju.

Cheongju Recycling Center is outsourced for its operation by Cheongju so as to promote resource recycling and reduce environmental pollution during waste treatment by collecting, repairing, exchanging, and selling second-hand furniture that can be recycled or reused. After collecting, repairing, and cleaning second-hand items, they display and sell them at reasonable prices.

In addition, they are contributing to the community by donating items to the underprivileged every month.
