– Hop on a regular tour bus or a customized tour bus and look around historic and cultural sites along with tourist attractions in Cheongju at one go! – Cheongju City announced that it would launch 2024 Cheongju City Tour on Saturday, Apr. 6, 2024. During the Cheongju City Tour, tourists can conveniently look around popular historic and cultural sites and tourist attractions in Cheongju while listening to a culture tour guide. It consists of two programs: regular tour bus where passengers can look around tourist attractions under a specific theme, and customized tour bus which requires at least 20 group passengers and provides a customized itinerary composed of two or more tourist attractions. The regular bus tour program consists of Cheongnamdae Tour (Munui Cultural Heritage Complex–Cheongnamdae) and Cultural City Tour (Chojeong Haenggung–Unbo's House–Early Printing Museum). The customized bus tour program provides an itinerary and schedule customized for passengers. A group of at least 20 people can select a day they want between Tuesday and Sunday and make their own itinerary consisting of two or more tourist attractions such as Suamgol Village, Sangdangsanseong Fortress, Cheongju National Museum, Midongsan Arboretum, and Cheongju Zoo. You may be able to purchase a regular tour bus ticket at city tour bus stops (KTX Osong Station, Cheongju Intercity Bus Terminal, and Cheongju Gymnasium) if there are any empty seats. The bus fare is KRW 2,000 per person (same for adults and children). Traveler’s insurance policy, admissions, and food expenses are not included. You can get a discount for Cheongnamdae and House of Unbo if you ride a city tour bus. Cheongju City will also hold a special event for city tour bus passengers. Passengers can participate in the event by scanning the QR code on their admission bracelet, uploading photos and reviews via the linked mobile app, and filling out a survey. Mobile gift certificates will be given to draw winners every month. A city official of Cheongju said, “We improved our city tour bus programs through last year's questionnaire survey. We will do our best to provide personalized seasonal programs for our tourists' satisfaction.” |
