Subject - 9 libraries in Cheongju to operate 11 shared spaces named “Open Space”

The Cheongju Municipal Library announced that it will operate shared spaces called “Open Space,” where library spaces will be available to the public free of charge.

The service is part of a project that opens up spaces used for library programs, such as cultural classes and reading clubs, to the public for free during off-hours.

The shared spaces consist of 11 rooms in 9 libraries in each of Cheongju's districts.

Eligible applicants include non-profit reading, employment, parenting, and educational groups in Cheongju. Anyone who is a registered member (loan member) of the Cheongju Municipal Library can apply.

However, applications related to profit-making, political, religious activities, private educational and business presentations, or activities not in line with the objectives of the program will not be approved.

Reservations can be made on the library's website under the “Shared Space Reservation” menu and must be made at least two days in advance of the desired date. Each person can make up to two requests per month.
