Tickets for the 2023 Cheongwon Organic Life Festival, the largest agricultural and livestock festival in Korea, will be available for purchase from Aug. 14.

Tickets can be purchased at Nonghyup branches in Chungcheongbuk-do, local community service centers, and the Cheongwon Organic Life Festival Situation Room on the first floor of the Cheongju Cultural Industrial Complex.

The ticket price is the same as last year, KRW 5,000 for a general admission, which can be used to purchase excellent local agricultural and livestock products at the festival.

The Cheongwon Organic Life Festival Promotion Committee (“Promotion Committee”) also announced that children and youths will be admitted free of charge this year.

The organization showed its hopes that this will encourage more children and youths to visit the festival and enjoy various attractions and hands-on activities.

Additionally, holders of these tickets will be able to enjoy free access to the Munui Cultural Heritage Complex and Cheongju Zoo during the festival period. There will also be a KRW 2,000 discount for those who visit Cheongnamdae.

The 2023 Cheongwon Organic Life Festival will be held for 10 days from Oct. 6 to Oct. 15 under the theme of “Adding Fun to Cheongju and Health to Cheongwon Organic Life.” The festival will be held at the Ochang-eup Miraeji Rural Theme Park.

It is expected to be a time of relaxation for the citizens with various performances such as nationwide competition programs, performances by local art groups, the Cheongwon Organic Life Song Festival and performances by famous singers. The festival will also hold various experience programs for families including the sweet potato harvest experience for children, and quality agricultural products harvested in Cheongju and fresh food for all ages.

An official from the Promotion Committee stated, “We are putting our utmost effort into preparing various attractions and experience programs to attract more visitors this year. We hope many people will pay a visit and enjoy excellent local agricultural products at affordable prices.” She added, “Visitors will be making a great contribution to local farmers struggling with the long rainy season and continuous heat wave.”
