Title 2023 Regulatory Reform Idea Contest Open for Submissions

Subject - Cheongju City will collect ideas for regulatory reform for 45 days from across the nation -

Cheongju City will hold the "2023 Cheongju Regulatory Reform Idea Contest" from February 1st to March 17th.

The topics of the contest are unreasonable regulations (including laws, systems, and regulations) that restrict daily and economic activities, as well as improvement plans for these.

Citizens can choose from and submit an entry for one of the seven areas of: (a) Improvement of citizens' safety and welfare; (b) Solving inconveniences in daily lives; (c) Increasing the vitality of ventures and SMEs; (d) Assistance for small business owners; (e) Future industries; (f) Economic revitalization in the community; and (g) Other.

The contest is open to any citizen, organization, or business that is interested.

The proposal form is available to download from the Cheongju City website. Those who wish to join can submit the form via e-mail (dbsdk119@korea.kr), postal mail, or in person, or post it on the Regulatory Reform Idea Contest bulletin board on the Cheongju City website.

12 outstanding ideas will be chosen based on departmental reviews of novelty, necessity, feasibility, and effectiveness, as well as a review by the Regulatory Reform Committee.

Winners will be awarded a total prize money of KRW 2 million in May.

"We intend to implement numerous municipal administration ideas through the contest," said a Cheongju City official. "I hope for a great deal of interest and participation so that we can implement the necessary practical regulatory reforms for citizens and businesses.”
