Cheongju Osong Library announced on the 11th that it will distribute a step 4 book pack ‘JjuukJjuuk’ of the 2022 “Cheongju Love Book” from the 19th.
The distribution of book pack is part of the Cheongju Children's Reading Movement "Love Book" project and is a program that presents books suitable for each age so that children and caregivers can talk together through picture books and help the children grow into adults that love books. A total of 400 books from the 4th level book pack ‘JjuukJjuuk’ is available from 13 public libraries (Osong, Heungdeok, Sinyulbong, Gangnae, Oksan, Garosu, Sangdang, Cheongwon, Ochang Lake, Ochang, Geumbit, Naesu, Miracle Library) in Cheongju. It will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 AM on the 19th. Children between the ages of 6 and 7 (born between 2016 and 2017) are eligible, and the book pack contains 2 picture books and a parent's guidebook. Citizens who want to get a book pack can visit the nearest library with a copy of their resident registration with the child's date of birth written and a guardian's ID. Only one pack will be served for each child. Step 1 ‘DoriDori’ book pack for children born in 2022 can be received by requesting at the Eup/Myeon/Dong administrative welfare centers when registering the birth. Step 2 ‘AjangAjang’ book pack for those born in 2020–2021 have been distributed since May, and step 3 ‘SsuukSsuuk’ book pack for those born in 2018–2019 have been distributed at public libraries in Cheongju since October. A library official said, ‘Through the ‘Cheongju Love Book’ book pack distributed according to age, I hope that children in Cheongju will grow up enjoying picture books and stories from an early age.” |
