Cheongju announced on Oct. 19 that it will open the 2022 Second Half Citizens’ Idea Contest to discover the diverse creative ideas of its citizens.
There are three categories in which you can submit your idea: ideas for the city that are fun to everyone, making a win-win city for urban and rural areas, and ways for the city to reach 100% renewable energy. Any citizen who wants to submit his or her idea can participate online on the official Cheongju website (idea.cheongju.go.kr) by Oct. 31. The final result will be announced in December and the winner can get up to KRW 1 million. The one-sentence idea contest is another opportunity for citizens to submit their policy ideas easily. The participants who submit their idea via Google Forms (bit.ly/한줄아이디어) or by scanning the QR code on the promotion poster qualify for a mobile voucher lottery. An official of Cheongju said, “Citizens’ creative ideas on pending issues of the city can be the foundation for the innovation of the city’s administration. We also anticipate lots of citizens’ participation in the one-sentence idea contest that will be the beginning of great change based on small ideas.” |
