Cheongju is holding a video contest named "Find hidden places in Cheongju" from Aug. 1 to Sep. 30.
The ‘Find hidden places in Cheongju’ video contest, which is held for the first time this year, aims to discover beautiful hidden places in Cheongju and make it a step closer to becoming a happy and fun city. Anyone who is interested in Cheongju can attend the contest under the theme of ‘I didn’t know Cheongju is so fun!’. The contest topics are Cheongju’s hidden places that I don’t want to share with others, tips to enjoy beautiful places in Cheongju, any video produced under the general theme of Cheongju (touristic spot, facilities, etc.). Only videos that have not been entered in any other contests and that have been created by the contributor will be accepted and the videos must be up to one and a half minute and less than two minutes. Please enter ‘Find hidden places in Cheongju video’ as the email subject and send your video and application to the person in charge (happy5757@korea.kr). The application form and detailed information are available on the bulletin board of Cheongju city website or the official blog of Cheongju city. A total of eight videos will be selected considering their suitability, creativity, originality, and popularity. Winners will be awarded a cash prize of KRW 3 million in total (KRW 1 million for the 1st winner). The result will be announced at the end of October and the announcement will be made on the official blog of Cheongju city and the winners will be contacted individually. A city official stated, “We will strive to promote local attractions, locally produced products, and unique agricultural products, using different means of promotion including 'Find hidden places in Cheongju'. And we will do our best to inform not only our citizens, but also the general public of hidden places in the region, going beyond simply just the promotion of the city policy.” |
