Title Cheongju Receives Applications for Outdated House Repair through Urban Regeneration New Deal Project

Subject The Cheongju City Government is receiving applications for outdated house repair as part of the Urban Regeneration New Deal Project from March 12 to April 1.

Owners of at least 20-year-old houses (detached house, multi-household house) located in Uam-dong, Yeongun-dong, or Naedeok 1-dong, may apply for outdated house repair.

Applications may be submitted at a local urban regeneration support center. Applicants will be selected through application screening and onsite inspection by the deliberation committee.

Those who are selected for the project may receive up to KRW 10 million for house repair such as rooftop waterproofing, external wall painting, and window and door replacement. 10% of the subsidies should be burdened by the beneficiary of the project.

A total of 55 houses will be selected for the house repair project (Uam-dong: 10 houses, Yeongun-dong: 25 houses, Naedeok 1-dong: 20 houses).

In 2020, a total of 112 houses submitted applications and 40 houses were selected for house repair. In 2022, the Cheongju City Government plans to select about 50 houses.

An official at the Cheongju City Government said, “We expect that the outdated house repair service of the Urban Regeneration New Deal Project will improve both the settlement conditions and community landscape. We are waiting for your applications.”
