Cheongju Operates 300 Epidemic Prevention Taxis
- Cheongju decides to increase epidemic prevention taxis with a rising demand - The Cheongju City Government has been operating epidemic prevention taxis since January of this year. With a rising demand, it decided to increase epidemic prevention taxis to 300 vehicles. As community health centers’ demand for epidemic prevention taxis installed with anti-droplet boards increased, the Cheongju City Government decided to operate more epidemic prevention taxis. The Cheongju City Government has been operating 100 epidemic prevention taxis in collaboration with taxi service providers in order to ease anxiety of passengers and drivers visiting a community health center or a COVID-19 screening station. Cheongju’s epidemic prevention taxis are recently becoming increasingly popular. Even other areas including Incheon, Daejeon, and Jincheon are making inquiries about epidemic prevention taxis. Approximately 100 international students at a university situated in Cheonju are getting COVID-19 test using epidemic prevention taxis.
