The Cheongju City Government receives applications for 2021 Project: Assistive Devices for Persons with Disabilities at its eup/myeon/dong Administration & Welfare Centers by March 26.
This project is for recipients of basic livelihood security program or the second-lowest income brackets, who are registered as physically handicapped persons, persons with brain disabilities, visually impaired persons, persons with hearing loss, persons with cardiopathy, persons with respiratory disabilities, persons with intellectual disabilities, persons with autism, or persons with language disorders pursuant to Article 32 of the Act on Welfare of Persons with Disabilities. The Cheongju City Government added two more types of assistive devices for persons with disabilities (non-slip bath mat, urine collection device) this year, making a total of 34 types of items. Those who are eligible may request assistive devices depending on the type of disabilities. However, request may be rejected if a person has already received the same assistive device last year or the service life of the same assistive device the person has received before is not overdue yet. Applicants are selected in order of priority through National Pension Service’s eligibility survey and Chungbuk Assistive Device Center’s suitability evaluation.
