Ochang Lake Library in Cheongju offers an audio book experience service.
Ochang Lake Library has been selected as one of the five organizations nationwide as the operator of the “2020 Audio Book Space Project” organized by the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea. The audio book experience space Sori Naeeum, found in the lobby on the first floor of the Ochang Lake Library, is equipped with tablet computers and a kiosk to offer 100 audio books that have converted the voice of celebrities such as actors, singers, voice actors and news presenters, into a digital format. The space is available free of charge to anyone visiting the library. An official from the library said, “Audio books are a new way to increase the country’s reading frequency as they are handy to carry about and highly accessible.
