Cheongju City has signed an MOU for investment with Cheongju City, Chungcheongbuk-do, GH Industrial, and Suhhan to invest KRW 275.1 billion for the project of creating industrial complex, at the Reception Room of the City Hall at 2:00pm on the 16th. In the MOU signing ceremony on that day, Cheongju Mayor Lee Sung Hun, Director General Lee Cha-yeong of Chungcheongbuk-do Economy and Trade Office, CEO Lee Baek-u of GH Industrial, and CEO Jeon Gyeong-ho of Suhhan participated, among many others. GH Industrial is a company which develops and supplies real estates, and decided to invest KRW 192.5 billion until 2019 to build Guksa Industrial Complex in the region of Guksa-ri, Oksan-myeon, Heungdeok-gu. Suhhan led the textile business in the Cheongju region, and decided to invest KRW 82.6 billion until 2019 to build Oksan 2 Industrial Complex in the region of Guksa-ri, Oksan-myeon, Heungdeok-gu. Cheongju Mayor Lee Sung Hun said, “Last year, Cheongju City actively attracted investments, recording the most investment attraction in history, but right now we are lacking industrial sites compared to the demands from enterprises, so having hard time attracting enterprises”.
