- As cultural specialization community program of Cheongju, operating urban-rural cultural art program -
The "Kkumpum agit" ran since last December as the part of Cheongju cultural specialization community(cultural city) program is very popular. "Kkumpum agit" is a program aiming to vitalize the under-used space of agricultural community of Cheongju by cultural arts. It is a cultural arts program subjecting family at under-used space of agricultural community to promote family gathering and utilization of space. Programs such as "Daddy class" and "Mommy class" are cultural arts class for father and child or mother and child which is held every afternoon of Saturday at Sangdangsanseong Jibhyeonjeon and Rice mill cafe of Naesu-eup Jegok-ri. In "Daddy class" children make handicrafts such as plate or tea cups with father and in "Mommy class", they make story quilt or traditional snacks. As for the instructors of each class, it is male instructor for daddy class and female instructor for mommy class to improve the communication. Each classes are composed for 4 o4 5 families, 10 thousand won per session which will be operated during winter vacation. Jeong Hyo Joon (age 9) who participated in mommy class said "I learned about making Yut for the first time" and "my friends are all about TV and computer games during winter vacation, but it was fun to make our own yut and play games with it". A city official said "this is a pilot program for the Cheongju cultural specialization community program" and "the city is planning to run program which children and parents can enjoy new experience anytime as the the program was well received by the participants." Meanwhile, the "Cheongju cultural specialization community(cultural city) program" which will be operated from 2016 to 2020 for 5 years is the preparation step of "cultural city" selection based on local cultural promotion act. It is hosted by Ministry of Culture, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Cheongju-si, operated by Cheongju-si cultural industry foundation, and aims to create sustainable cultural eco-system based on the cultural network in Cheongju. ▶ Inquiry : Department of cultural arts Cultural arts team(☎043-201-2011) |
