Chengju has completed the construction of Yukgeori traditional market multi support center.
- On 4th (friday) 2 PM, approximately 100 people participated inside the Yukgeori market City of Cheongju has held a building completion ceremony at Seokgyo-dong Yukgeori market multi support center on 4th (friday) 2 PM. For the ceremony, about 100 people including governor Li Si Jong, mayor Li Seung Hun, provincial members and city council members, merchant alliance and residents participated in the scene. Ceremony included signboard hanging ceremony, commendation for superb merchant, delivering appreciation plaque, and tea party. The multi support center started constructing last December in Sangdang-gu Seokgyo-dong 57-2(inside Yukgeori market, 443.6 ㎡) and built as a three stories building with 179.81 ㎡ building area which received 1.8 billion won budget from the government. The multi support center was long-cherished business of Yukgeori market merchant alliance who aim for modernization of facility in traditional market. The center plan to provide customer service with merchant office and customer shelter on the 1st floor, while office, meeting room, activity room on the 2nd and 3rd floor to have an effective market management. The city will develop Yukgeori market, the main market in central area, with the center to be the center of customer service including consumer consulting, supporting posting service, managing various culture programs.
