- Extend the mother, infant healthcare worker supporting business to average under 65% of overall household City of Chengju will extend its support for mother, infant healthcare worker from this year. City health center limited its support to overall childbirth household with monthly income under 50% of the average, but extended the subject to under 65%. "Mother, infant healthcare worker supporting business" is a business to reduce financial burden to low income household with monthly income under 65% of the average. The support period is 12 days per one baby, 18 days per twin, maximum 24 days for triplets or more and mother with severe disability. For these period, mothers can receive dispatched healthcare worker service. For households who receive dispatched healthcare worker, breast-feeding, after birth hygienic management, infant health management, infant laundry management, infant bathing and other services are provided. The governmental service subsidy per one baby is 594,000won for monthly income under 40% of overall household average, 581,000 won for over 40% and under 50%, 528,000 won for over 50% and under 65%. Subsidy information for twins or triplets can be reached at service application department. The service application period is from 40 days before child birth to 30 days after the birth, and should bring application form, health insurance certificate, mother id, health insurance payment certificate and other relevant documents in order to apply.
