- It Will Create an Atmosphere for Family Affinity by Recommending Leaving Office on Time and Use of Monthly Leave - To create a city of family affinity, Cheongju City designated 'Day of Family Love' the day when workers leave office or workplace on time. Having designated every Wednesday as ';Day of Family Love', the city will make announcement broadcasting twice 10 minutes before office close hour on the day. By doing so, entire employees can have dinner with their families together and call to their parents, by which the city tries to make social atmosphere in which company life can be compatible with career through family live. In addition, the city will encourage senior officers to make an example of using month leave; companies to adopt flexible workplace system; male workers to use leave of absence for child care; senior officers to leave office on time, all of which are aimed to create workplace atmosphere to respect family affinity. Interestingly, 15% of the total public servants in working in Cheongju City are couples. Therefore, the city plans to set a direction in which they divide their roles (housework and childcare) at home on the basis of checking list and expand a peaceful family atmosphere that makes it possible that work can be compatible with home.
