- Cheongju Land, Full of Experiential Events of Traditional Seasonal Customs Such as Kite-Flying - Cheongju Land Administration office plans to hold a traditional seasonal customs folk game festive on March the 7th (Sat) on the occasion of Jeongwol Daeboreum to spread sound play culture and prepare an event to bring families together Jeongwol Daeboreum folk game festival consists of such experiential events of a variety of traditional folk games as making a kite, kite-flying and playing yut and old foods festival including roasting bar rice cake. Particularly, kite-making is an experiential event in which parents and children make kites - shield kite and stingray kite ―, learning the history of a Korean traditional kite. Kite-making and kite-flying event is offered free of charge to 150 people who enter on the day on first-come-first served base. Bar rice cake roasting is also provided to 500 people in the same manner. The experiential event of traditional folk games is held on March the 7th and 8th in the second exhibition hall of Cheongju Land and visitors can enjoy playing yut, jegichagi (shuttlecock game), top-spinning game , toho throwing, ring throwing, hoop rolling, and mini archery.
