BI symbolizing the 2015 East Asia Culture City was developed.

Cheongju Municipal Government developed BI for effective marketing and image integration of the East Asia Culture City.

Currently developed BI shapes the image of the metal type Jikji, the oldest in the world, and patchwork wrapping-cloth, one of the traditional craft genres. The design contains the value of green Cheongju and bio city cheongju.

In addition to them, it also have the message that citizens of three countries in East Asia need to have active exchanges and co-prosperity, and new dream through culture.

The BI is used in various publicity materials like poster and leaflet, etc. outdoor advertisements like banners on overhead bridge and hanging screens, etc. And, it will also be used in various souvenirs like eco-bag, mug cup and cultural good, and in exchange programs of East Asia Culture Cities.

As the 2015 East Asia Culture City, Cheongju, Korea, Chingdao, China, and Nigata, Japan were selected. They will hold various exchnage projects in performace, exhibition, and scholarly conference as well as opening and closing ceremonies.
