- Opening on the 25th of this month, full of eco-friendly agricultural and livestock products - Abundant food will be prepared at the 'Chungwon Life Festival' which is the largest agricultural and livestock festival in Korea The City of Cheongju will be hosting "Chungwon Life Festival" at the rural theme park in Chungwon-gu, Ochang-eup Miraeji from this 25th to October 5th. The biggest feature of Chungwon Life Festival is that trustworthy eco-friendly foods can be purchased at a low cost. Especially, the admission tickets can be used as a cash to buy various agricultural and livestock products. Since this is the first Life Festival being held after the city was integrated, the city will prepare hearty things to eat in order to attract the largest crowd ever. At the festival, there will be agricultural specialty store, livestock specialty store, life rice house, self restaurants, etc, and this year, the visitors can order the delivery service of agricultural and livestock products. The city has also raised the accessibility by locating the stores right next to the parking lot. The agricultural specialty store consists of 60 sales booths which includes Chungwon Life Rice that received 'LOHAS certification" for 8 straight years, apples, pear, ginseng, wood-cultivated ginseng, pepper, condonopsis, mushrooms and a variety of agricultural products as well as succulents and agricultural processed foods. The livestock market which sells local livestock such as masterpiece beef, pigs, ducks, goats, etc, and the livestock processed foods is 20%~30% cheaper than the market and the visitors can immediately cook the product at the next door self-restaurant so it is expected to gain a big popularity this year as well. After seeing the Life Agricultural Center and colorful flower garden and experiencing kayaking, traditional games and harvesting sweet potato with exciting performances and events, you can taste the homemade food at the Life Rice House.
